Delilah Chloe We've fallen in love with Chloe. She's even beginning to answer to the new name. The thing that I think is so funny, and very Basset behavior, in my experience, is that little bit of attitude just to see...She is a smart cookie. I was teaching her the command "Go lay down" since sometimes she has to be on her bed and not on the sofa or day bed. About 2 min after the lesson, she left her bed, put her front paws on the ottoman going up to the day bed, looked at me and waited. She inched a little bit more and stopped and stared.....I said command again, pointed to her bed and she went back to her bed. We quietly laughed. Just like a kid! The treats we got for her for training she originally spit out and looked at us, but she is beginning to eat them. We are using them and lots of petting as rewards for training of sit, come, stay and down. We are still considering the PetSmart school, yet she comes to us so well trained already, and we both have experience with training. We will continue working with her and see if more is needed. Thank you again for allowing us to have this sweet baby in our lives. Erika, Bob, and Chloe |
