Rocky

Hi Dana, Harley is doing just fine. I have included some pictures. The first one of him with his new best friend Gretchen; they are getting along just fine. The other picture is of him in our backyard. He loves laying in the mulch, all stretched out. Our first night went really well. He spent about 20 minutes whining because we wouldn't let him get on our bed. Then, he gave up and slept in his bed the rest of the night. I was really impressed! He is really sweet. Roscoe

Roscoe is such a wonderful dog. My two little boys love him so much. They all chase each other , play tug-a-war, and then collapse. They all three will lie on the living room floor curled up together and snooze away. Roscoe is such a good baby sitter! I just adore him and cannot imagine our life without him. When we lost our other dog, Regal, we were so glad we still had Roscoe. He sensed our grief and helped all three of us through it. Thank you again! Debbie

Ruby

Aren't Joe and I lucky that you were there just when we needed you?. We continue to love our little Ruby more and more each day. I think training her has helped me bond to her. We still have a long way to go, but she has settled down a lot. The hardest command for her to accept is the "down" command where she is to lay down (any position) and stay until I release her. This morning she got up and ran from me! I am also working diligently on making her wait until invited to go out instead of bolting out the door. A normal, well trained dog will not go outside even when the doors are left open and unguarded (but we both know Bassets are not "normal", don't we). Ruby, like all bassets, is very hard headed and we continue to work on the same commands week after week. Oh well... We love her anyway and want to thank BRAT again!
