While everyone was celebrating the holidays in warm homes, I stood alone by the side of the road in Valley View TX. It was the coldest night of the year, and I was in pain from some broken ribs. I could hardly walk or breathe. And to make matters worse, I was shivering uncontrollably. The only thing I could think of doing was to wait for any little kindness. And it happened... someone finally noticed me and gave me some food and a cozy little bed. Then they called BRAT. I know I'm safe now. We're all hoping that if someone is missing my sweet face they will come claim me very soon; otherwise BRAT promised they will find me a warm forever home.
Foster update: Dylan has a heart murmur but has recently been taken off his heart med. His vet will follow him closely to make sure he remains stable. He was diagnosed with cartilage maldevelopment which refers to a skeletal disorder caused by one of myriad genetic mutations that can affect the development of cartilage. Dylan is being treated with an anti inflammatory and pain medication, but is doing great with his pain control. He recently had 14 teeth pulled due to advanced periodontal disease. We know his mouth feels much better without those rotten teeth. He has been diagnosed with an enlarged prostate and was incontinent. He has since had his neuter and he’s pictured here without a belly band! Since he’s doing so well, his vet will proceed with his regular immunizations. It’s amazing what love and good vet care can do! More about DylanGood with Dogs, Good with Kids
